Who are we?
ByStenholt is a Danish brand founded by Katinka Stenholt in 2017.
I have known since I was very young that I wanted to be independent. I started with jewelry, but quickly developed a passion for clothes. Today, ByStenholt is my one and only business, which I love to run.
Today we are a strong small team of 3, who do our best every day to provide the best customer service and develop ByStenholt with new designs. We try to create styles that fit today's trends and at the same time have low prices with high quality.
From Instagram to webshop
The story behind ByStenholt started back in 2017 on Instagram under the name TasselByK. Our first product was handmade Tassel earrings, which were very popular. TasselByK grew quickly and the selection of handmade jewelry grew as well.
The company was put on hold for a year and in the summer of 2019, ByStenholt was founded on Instagram when Katinka wanted to expand our range of jewelry and add clothing and accessories to the range.
In the fall of 2020, our website was created and from here the company really took off.
From 50 m2 to 500 m2 warehouse
In September 2024, we moved into new premises in Silkeborg. We went from a 50 m2 warehouse on Katinka's parents' farm to a large warehouse of over 500 m2.
The larger warehouse space has allowed us to stock many more styles. Since we moved, we have added over 400 new styles to our inventory, and the business has taken off even faster.
Our new premises also provide a framework for our daily work, where we work in the office just a few meters from the warehouse.
Visit our dealers
We have several different suppliers and sewing rooms in Europe. We have visited both France and Italy, where our primary sewing rooms are located. We love visiting the sewing rooms, where we see new samples, check quality and design new styles.
It's great to create a good relationship with the people behind the sewing rooms - We try to visit them as often as possible.
90% of our products are produced in Europe in small local sewing shops and factories. The remaining 10% of our products are produced in China in factories we have collaborated with for many years. If you have any questions about the production of a specific product - please write to us by email.
